Much discussion has been taking place over the last two or three years as to what model our economy should follow. With the financial crisis of 2008 and the subsequent recession, many political pundits are telling us that capitalism has failed and we should change our economic philosophy to mirror the socialist countries of Europe and elsewhere. It is my belief that capitalism hasn’t been given a chance and that those loudest of detractors are also the biggest beneficiaries of the wealth generated in a free market system.
